Frank Navarro is developing a conceptual reality-based work of Systemic Sculpture. Work is designed to improve the "understanding" on an individual and a collective level. This project includes a set of intertwined ongoing projects:

• a novel/essay investigating how art & philosophy can develop sensibility, criticality, creativity and understanding through a character experiencing a selection of contemporary artworks.
• a feature film involving a multidisciplinary artists collective (thinkers, musicians, dancers, performers, visual artists), and generating real life performances and artworks.
• an educational program building creativity and understanding through art & philosophy seminars.
• a vast-scale exhibition exploring the human being's structure, evolution and potential through contemporary artworks and actions (in discussion with Whitney Museum and MOCA L.A.).
• a theoretical model providing a synthetic, dynamic and evolving framework to the understanding of the human being functioning.

These projects came out of a ten-year research in art and philosophy with a focus on modern and contemoporary art history, aesthetics, psychoanalysis, systemic analysis, phenomenology, metaphysics and hermeneutics.
Navarro graduated from H.E.C. Paris (France), with a Master of Science in Management, Economics and Strategy.

 

Justin is a Duke University graduate with degrees in Art History and Public Policy. 

In his personal time, he is actively involved in the Contemporary art world and is an avid art collector. Throughout his career, Justin has worked extensively in the fields of advertising, marketing, public relations, branding and new media integration.
Prior to joining Art Gate, he worked with Los Angeles PR firm Insignia, where his roster included high-profile celebrities, like Morgan Freeman, as well as clients from the fields of education, business and art. He also held positions at TBWA\CHIAT\DAY working with the brands Nissan and Infiniti.

Education is important to understanding; as a collaborator and collector, Justin finds unique ways to link the universal, theoretical and multicultural approach of Frank Navarro and the local specificities of American culture, Californian art and the LA art scene.
