CREATION & CREATIVITY
Exploring the nature of the creative process through a fine balance between theory, discussion and on-site experience.

- A visual presentation by Frank Navarro provides an overview of the notion of creation from the Renaissance to Post-Modernism, through a thorough yet accessible philosophical discourse. It investigates the notion of creativity through fine arts, music, architecture, design and fashion examples. It analyzes in-depth three dissimilar artistic practices (Beuys, Warhol, Eliasson). It concludes with an open, comprehensive and thorough definition of Art.
- Artist Olga Koumoundouros gives her own experience and vision of her creation/creative process. An open discussion with artist and lecturer follows.
- A tour of Charles Garabedian exhibition will conclude, as well as an optional lunch.

Minimalism has been one of the most influential artistic movements since the 1960's. Informing a huge part of the Fine Arts practice, its uncluttered aesthetics and philosophical ideas have been proliferating throughout architecture, design, fashion, advertising, corporation and contributed to shape the visual aspect of our contemporary world.
Our three-part seminar will explain, explore and question the Minimalist aesthetics through an enlightening lecture, several artists' conversations and a museum exploration.
